Myeongin AI respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy is written to comply with Korea's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), the EU GDPR, the U.S. COPPA, and the privacy disclosure requirements of the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

1. Overview & Scope

This policy applies to the Rizzio app distributed on iOS and Android. It does not apply to any third-party services that you may choose to use after leaving the App (for example, ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini). Such services are governed by their own privacy policies.

Rizzio does not require account creation, login, or any cloud sync, and we do not operate any backend server. All information you enter is, in principle, stored only on your device (on-device). Nothing is transmitted to a Myeongin AI server because no such server exists. This is the foundational principle of this policy.

2. Personal Information We Process

We process only the minimum information necessary to provide the service. The data categories are summarized below.

Information we do NOT collect or store: name, email address, phone number, postal address, payment information, location data, photos, contacts, device identifiers (other than the advertising ID), or raw audio recordings.

3. Purposes of Processing

• Service provision: Generating and storing on-device a structured prompt that you can then use with an external AI service, based on the other-person info, your emotional state, and the situation you provided.
• Prompt customization: Reflecting your optional self-profile (gender, age, communication style) when generating the prompt on-device (no external transmission).
• Voice input convenience: Converting speech to text via the OS speech engine so you can describe a situation by voice.
• Advertising & performance measurement: Displaying interstitial ads to keep the App free, with consent.
• Fraud prevention & app stability: Within the scope provided by Google Mobile Ads SDK.

We do not process personal information for any purpose other than those listed above. If our purposes change, we will notify users in advance and obtain consent where required.

4. Retention & Use Period

• All information you enter (other-person info, user profile, situation, generated prompt, etc.) is stored exclusively in the Hive local database on your device.
• When you uninstall the App, the operating system automatically deletes all of this data, and we retain no copy because no server-side copy ever exists.
• You can delete individual entries directly inside the App at any time.
• Advertising IDs are reset or invalidated immediately when you reset them via OS settings or withdraw your tracking consent.

Because we operate no backend server, there is no separate retention period on our side.

5. Disclosure to Third Parties

We do not disclose, sell, or share your personal information with third parties. We do not operate our own server, so no information you enter into the App is transmitted out by us. Your manual act of copying a generated prompt and pasting it into a third-party AI service is your own voluntary action, addressed separately in Section 7.

6. Processing Delegation & Third-Party SDKs

We use the following third-party SDKs and system features only to the extent necessary for service operation.

We do not collect personally identifying information through these SDKs. Each SDK's data handling is governed primarily by the privacy policy of its provider.

Services we explicitly do NOT use: Firebase, Crashlytics, Google Analytics, any analytics/telemetry SDK, push-notification servers, in-app purchases, subscriptions, and social login are not used in this App.

7. External AI Services (Important)

The App itself does not call any LLM (Large Language Model) API and does not automatically transmit your input to any external AI service such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini.

The App works as follows:

1. Based on the information you enter, a prompt text is generated entirely on your device.
2. You then manually copy that prompt and paste it into the external AI service of your own choice (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.).

From that moment, the information is transferred to the operator of the third-party AI service you chose, and that service's privacy policy and terms apply. Rizzio has no ability to collect, view, control, or take responsibility for what you submit to those external services.

We therefore recommend that you keep the following in mind when using external AI services:

• Content you submit to an external AI service may be used by that service to train its models, depending on its policy.
• Avoid entering identifiable information such as real names, contact details, or addresses.
• Review the privacy policy of each external AI service directly.

8. Device Permission Requests

You can withdraw any of these permissions at any time via your device's OS settings; changes take effect immediately.

9. Rights of Data Subjects

• Right of access: You can review your inputs and the generated prompts directly inside the App at any time.
• Right of rectification: You can edit your inputs at any time using the in-app edit feature.
• Right of erasure: You can delete individual entries inside the App, or uninstall the App to immediately and completely remove all related data from your device.
• Right to suspend processing / withdraw consent: You can withdraw microphone or ad-tracking permissions in OS settings. You can also re-open the UMP consent dialog via the "Privacy Options" (shield) icon in the top-right of the App. The UMP dialog is only active in regions where GDPR/UMP applies.

Because we hold no user data on our own servers, you can exercise all of these rights immediately on your own device with no separate request procedure. For additional inquiries, please contact myeongin.ai@gmail.com.

10. Security Measures

• On-device storage principle: All data you enter is stored only in the Hive local database on your device and is not transmitted externally.
• No backend server: We do not operate any server that stores or processes user data, so server-side leakage is structurally impossible.
• Minimum collection: We do not collect data that is not directly required to provide the service (no name, email, location, etc.).
• Permission minimization: Sensitive permissions such as microphone access are invoked only when you actively use the corresponding feature; they are inactive by default.
• No voice retention: Raw audio captured by the microphone is never recorded, stored, or transmitted; only the text produced by the OS speech engine is processed.

11. Children's Privacy (Under 14)

The App is recommended for users aged 17 and above (17+), and the app store rating is set accordingly. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14, and pursuant to the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we also do not collect information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under the applicable age is using the App, we will take measures to immediately stop processing such information. Guardians may contact us at myeongin.ai@gmail.com.

12. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be revised in response to changes in applicable law, our service, or security technology. When the policy changes, we will give notice through this page (https://myeonginai.kr/rizzio-privacy) or via in-app notice in advance, and for material changes we may seek your renewed consent. The effective date is shown at the top of this document.
